X-ray Potion Effect

The Potion of Spelunking grants you a potion effect that allows you to see ores through walls!
Find Potions of Spelunking as rare treasure in chests. They are more common in Mineshafts.

Potion of Spelunking II

Greater range, but it lasts less time. More commonly found as treasure or in End Cities.

How to Install
1. Download the Datapack from this page by clicking the download button.

2. Drop the Datapack .zip file in the "datapacks" folder in your world's folder. This can also be done while creating a world using the "Data Packs" button.

3. Type "/reload" in your game to enable the pack!

This new update adds versions for 1.18 and 1.19!

Downloads can now be found via the new Curseforge project page, similar to my other projects.

Due to an issue I have been stuck on for a while, I wasn't able to update to 1.18. However, I am glad that I can now offer it to anyone still using that Minecraft version.

Yo quick question, how long does the potion last if you mind telling? Just wanna know when I should make the choice of saving or using any find. Thanks in advance.. :D

The potion last 3 minutes if it's Spelunker I and 1 minute and 30 seconds if it's Spelunker II

If they don't replace vanilla Minecraft ores, they'd have to be implemented into the datapack manually.

I believe it would be something like



/loot give @s loot spelunker


then use your Tab button to see the different potion types

Hey, is it possible to config the spawn chances for the potions? I'm trying to make them rarer than enchanted gapples.

Change the weight variable for the potions within the loot table in the datapack.
