Hello,
Here is a datapack that I initially created for myself but that I chose to share with you today.
The initial problem was simple :
What to do with the useless items lying around in our chests ? Should we throw them away without getting anything from them or should we keep them in the hope that they might be useful one day ?
With this datapack, you will be able to get something out of ALL your useful or useless items (and maybe even turn dirt into diamonds !).
You just need to throw in a Recycler the items you want to recycle. When you have recycled 16 items, you will receive between 1 and 3 items from the Loot list.
First, install and put the datapack in the datapack folder of your map.
Than, say "/reload" and the datapack is here !
To get the Recycler, throw 1 composter, 1 bone meal, and 1 emerald (I had no idea ^^'). You can also get it by writing "/function recycler:give" in the chat (OP permissions needed).
To remove a Recycler, just break it. You will not lose the items you have already recycled and you will get your Recycler back.
Informations :
My website : https://kgriss.github.io/minecraft-datapacks/
This datapack is for 1.14+
The datapack is finished (but balancing will be done according to your feedback)
Survival friendly
Multiplayer friendly (I think)
I would be very happy if you would make a showcase video of this datapack with my name and the link to this PlanetMinecraft page (and maybe even my website :D)

If you ever update it, it might be nice to have bamboo and sugarcane. Maybe all the various tree saplings. Just to add more chaos. lol
edit: A word of caution: I've lost some items by using the keyboard to throw them. Aim so that your items land in the recycler, then just drag and drop stacks from your inventory and that's much safer.
I'm glad you like this datapack!
I am aware that it is not well balanced and I will try to fix it according to the different feedbacks.
Thank you very much :)
I think it might be more fair to only return seeds and iron/gold nuggets instead of ingots. But personally, with the way I play, unfair is fine. hehe
