With this datapack, you can make your water slides work as in real life: any entity or player riding the slide will accelerate and end the slide with a dive in the water below.
To create a water slide, build one in your world, open the datapack and change the commands in the function; you will find every instruction there.

Basically, the datapack works by teleporting players inside an area, the water slide; you have to change the commands in the datapack so that they are active inside the area where you own water slides are. If you open the function in a text editor, you will find all the instructions.
That said, if you don't have at least a very basic knowledge about Minecraft commands, you won't be able to use this datapack, I'm sorry: what you have to do is very simple, so if you really want to use it, it shouldn't take long to learn how to do it.
