I reccomend this: Buy everything you need, a decent (Burt not the best and most expensive) gpu, and then buy pascal when it comes out. Totally worth.
Pascal is going to be damn pricy for at least a year!
And we still need the games OP likes to play.

Most modern games are starting to ask for 8gb (Ark, GTA, etc) so 10GB would probably good.
I completely agree that modern games are starting to fill up 8 GB (not just the game, but the game + OS + whatever programs you're running), but when you're on a budget and you have to decide between more RAM or a better GPU, always get the better GPU because a RAM upgrade costs significantly less than replacing a GPU once it isn't fast enough.

Do you need a monitor? And do you live near a Micro Center?
I heard of this company called Scware. They make really cheap, really good gaming pcs. The one that is coming out soon has 16GB RAM, i7 processor 1TB storage, Windows 8 and an nvidia gpu and it is all only around £600. It isnt out yet but it will be soon I think. Their instagram and twitter is @scwarecomputers so there might be more stuff there.
No. Never buy a prebuilt, even if it is from a "Gaming" PC seller. They overcharge you and it is much cheaper to buy and build it yourself, plus it is more fun that way.
@OP, you most likely won't need 16GB RAM unless you are doing some serious server hosting, animating, rendering or photoshopping. 12GB is enough for most games this gen. (Forgot that Ark and a few other games are extreme quality so I changed it, you know who you are that reminded me)
For specs, I can't help too much here since Im not that "Spec Smart" in a sense, I know whats good etc but I can't really give you recommendations so wait for some people from the PC Group to wander in.
