Hey guys I'm going to take part in the "Play Games. Heal Kids" fundraiser.

Advertising Xtra Life here is against no PMC rules, he can do as he pleases. But, if the Forums gets swamped with many seperate users asking for donations, it's likely that the threads will be removed.
Preferably, you could donate to the official PMC Xtra Life page. That would be more effective (and helpful to us!).

MinecrafterDaltonStudnickyI'm glad you're making an attempt as well, but the idea is to advertise ELSEWHERE about this event. The site staff is doing our best to make sure every single member of this site is already aware of the event.
Post on your facebook, twitter, youtube, etc.

This is Fine in General Discussion, and it would be fine if it was in Everything Else as well. The PMC fundraiser events planned are pretty much being done so by Every Staff Member Here. If the rest of the community wants to join in on their own terms, that's fine
