Anyone ever see, or at leat hear Herobrine?

Sometimes, I could of sworn I hear him, like in some kind of weird sound effect. Can anyone tell me if this is just a common MC sound effect {it happened when the sun was setting} or if this just happens?

Once, my friend and I went mining. After around 5 minutes, we heard weird noises, and we didn't know what it was. After that, my friend would randomly get punched, and would die randomly. I didn't though, which was kinda weird. After 10 minutes of constant dying, we logged. But there were no mobs near us, thats what makes it weird. Idk if its Herbrine or not, but it was strange
