Coincidence or pure Ghost?

I was playing Minecraft as usual, when i started diggind to make a basement. I broke the wood block of my flooring then one dirt block and lightning struck. I jumped up to see if my dog was still there, when the lightning nearly hit my house (I knew it nearly hit my house becuase i could hear fire nearby). I thought i saw a figure outside my house. I freaked and sealed the door with wood. I got so scared that i quit and went straight to this forum.

Lighting can appear in minecraft but I don't think it can hit your house and cause a fire. You should have stayed to see the figure for longer. I understand how difficult it might have been because I didn't see it. Remember it is just a game and it could have been a mob or a illusion. It is really hard to tell if it is night or not with lightning.
