How do you do kits in Survival?

I saw the guy I think press a button and it cleared his inventory and gave him more stuff.
How do I achive this in my singleplayer? Or is that on a server? I know that on my singleplayer there would problably...... actually idk how it would work.

Somebody make it with command blocks and post it!!
I don't really want to watch the ten minute video, but based on your description, it sounds pretty easy. You just run a series of command blocks connected by a redstone wire. The first one would have something like "/clear". Then the following ones could have the "/give item#" command. If you don't know how these work, there are numerous tutorials on Youtube. I hope this helps
You can't do that without a mod/plugin. If you are REALLY good with command blocks, you'd be able to do that. It would take me about 2 hours to make that with command blocks starting from scratch.
