Minecraft NPC Village Problem

The Villages are great, dont get me wrong, the only problem is that villages spawn in weird ares, so they end up becoming distorted in weird. Anyone know if there are any attempts being made so that villages dont get goofed up when spawned

I always feel the need to fix them up... change the roads to stone brick, fix the levelling errors, put fences around the fields and add more lighting... then the idiot testificates wander off and go for a swim in the ocean and I never see them again.

but ya, my problem is that sometimes the weird terrain mess up the villages, so that doors are to high to reach, or crevasses are in the middle and just ruins the whole look
a good example of perfect terrain generation, that actually makes a good village, is the seed 666 trust me, it actually does look cool

then you get the ones that they build in the mountains, but the houses become SERIOUSLY split-level.

It's seriously like 30 blocks from the spawn to the east.
I built my house a while away from them right next to an island with a huge ravine where I collect my ores. I use the 3 farms from the villages as my farming space.
The villages has a small incline but not like the ones you guys are talking about.

here, try the 666 seed, and you'll see what i mean, but that village is one where the steep incline and stuff makes it work

Indeed. This is definitely something that Notch/Jeb need to fix up.
I like little settlements near the water.. but there's no reason for them to be IN the water.
