Models, do they age?
Hey guys, I am thinking about starting up a small site dedicated to making models and stuff for java minecraft (post 1.15), will the models become obsolete and i have to keep remaking them or should they fare ok?
for example my toilet model (lol) (using ingame textures)

As halloween is around the corner i thought i would make some sort of graveyard/spooky kinda models... am thinking about making a ghost-like mob also.
i started off with gravestones cos thats usually something people think of with halloween etc. i enclose a screenshot of 10 i have made [i am making more though].
when they are all done i'll make a video of them ingame or something
I went and rushed up a very quick video of them :D

EDIT: I should probably make a new thread for this?

I thought this was going to be a post on if supermodels age or if they have some secret way of never aging...I came for some laughs, and I got this... an actual, good, question.
Fair play.

Yeah I just realised how bad the title looked :)

Sorry, this is irrelevant. But please say the title of this here article again, slowly.
Duuude lol I just realised
no, just, no
Models, for the most part, remain the same between versions. They might need to be reorganized in a resource pack (like how you need to specify what block states have what model) but they should not become obsolete.
I don't think model files change often and if they do they'll be compatible with older versions. They won't change/remove certain functionality that quick compared to commands, advancements and maybe recipes. By the time they go unsupported, the popularity will already have decreased over time and you won't feel like it's worth updating.
They will most likely eventually become obsolete with new textures and blocks replacing them, but they can last for a while. Most likely better ways will come, but the old way still work.
Anyway, sounds like a great site, can't wait to check it out!
