What i thought of the Nether Updateedit
Hey!Im LegoStepper76 and im here to tell my opinions of 1.16
Netherrite was a pretty ok ore,it was strong, rare and look cool.
Even though i liked the new nether,it ruined a bit the feeling of the Nether.
In 1.15- the nether feeled like hell in minecraft, where you are never safe from anything, now in 1.16 its still has that feeling but only certain parts are like this, but the Warped and Crimson forest just felt like this was the overworld but with mods on

The new nether biomes are still have a different feel from the overworld. The crimson forest is kind of a mix of the old vibe and some living, while the warped forest feels like it's had some eldritch influence from the end
Yeah the basalt was really cool tbh
I run a small 1.16 server, and it's been interesting seeing if people do much in the nether. Most of them have just built a nether highway on the roof and stick to using diamond tools etc. A few of the players have made some pretty cool buildings from the new blocks though.
So really most people seem to just use the nether as a highway in SMP from what I can see, even in the latest version.

The idea of the nether is interesting but players just make highways there or build there to protect from grief
I semi-agree.
It feltl like helish, dangerous ''I don't want to be here tbh'' dead lands.
This is why I was worried about the update but the asthetic is still great and kinda like that.
Feels more of a expansion than a rework.

The fundamental aspect of the nether in 1.15- was Nether Fortresses that made it interesting, the red biome couldn't hold it by himself, now the fundamental aspect is Ores.Nether gold, ancient debris, glided blackstone, quartz.
