Since the server is completely fresh we will reward the first 5 players with a kit of tools and some food.

Who are we?
The Miningnerds "family" so to speak consists of four members, Plastslev, Bjinko, Wharz and Zhinigami. We are a group of four friends, all with different strengths and weaknesses allowing us to combine our strengths to bring you the best experience possible.

Plastslev: The guy responsible for the Minecraft server, he is the one fixing with all the plugins and running the server in general.

Bjinko: He is our server guy, he runs and controls the dedicated server we're using. He's our tech guru.

Wharz: Our community manager. He will be the one planning events and the like to make this server feel like a community.

Zhinigami: He's our builder and lore master. Simple as that.

What is our goal?
Our goal with the server is to create a gaming oriented community, and we needed so start somewhere, so we decided to start with the game that brought us all together, Minecraft. We plan on making more servers, for minecraft and other games and we want our community to last a long time.

As we want to make this a community we will start involving the community in our videos, once the server gets a bit more settled in we plan on making a "base of the week" or something like that, where we promote bases from the server. And anyone who has their base in a video will get a reward/title.

How is the gameplay of the server?
Miningnerds - PvP is a Vanilla server on Hard difficulty with PvP enabled. It's a pretty simple experience, true to the vanilla core. We've only added stuff letting you protect your base and other non-intrusive stuff.

Server features:
Spawn
Our server has two different non-player made structures, the first one being our spawn. We tried to keep our spawn small and simple as to not take up too much of the already limited land. The spawn has a few shops for you to sell and buy stuff, but it's mostly at a premium, encouraging players to trade with eachother.

The Bandit Camp
The Bandit Camp is our second city, it is a city in the desert that is PvP enabled, the only way to get in and out of the city is by navigating the maze that goes beneath the surface. The main purpose of this city is that it offers the same shops as the spawn, but at a discounted price. But beware of other players camping in the maze, trying to kill you for your stuff. The only way to leave the city is by the maze, it is not possible to teleport in or out. So if you want to buy materials at a discount you will have to take the risk and sneak your way in!

Our Server Philosophy:
We strongly believe that a succesful Minecraft server is shaped by you, the community. And we also believe in an ever-changing experience, therefore we are committed to bringing you several content expansions which will hopefully keep you entertained for hours on end. We plan on including the community in every big decision we make. We will propose different expansions and we will allow our users to vote and decide what they want us to implement and focus on.

As any server, we will need donations to survive in the long-term. But don't worry, we ourselves dislike servers that are pay2win so we will try to keep our donation packages pretty basic and mostly cosmetic, you will never see stuff such as "buy creative mode" or stuff like that here, we intend to keep this server a mostly vanilla experience.

Planned Expansions:
- Heavily stripped McMMO plugin
We feel that most of the abilities that McMMO has are a bit too overpowered for a mostly vanilla server, so we are proposing a heavily stripped down McMMO where most of the bonuses will be stuff like passive resource gain increase, or maybe faster mining speed. This still gives you bonuses for leveling up, but it won't be overpowered and make the server feel cheap.

- Instanced PvE Dungeons
We plan to release a huge PvE expansion with a custom dungeon, with custom waves, custom bossfights and custom classes! Work hard as a team and reap the rewards!

- Instanced Gladiator PvP
An instanced team-based gladiator arena, fight as a team in an instanced arena with different classes, no risk but little to no reward.

Our Rules:
- Be respectful.
- No harassing other players.
- No excessive swearing or use of caps.
- No spamming/adversiting/begging for staff
- No hacking/modding/glitching/griefing

Our Plugins:
- AutoSaveWorld
Auto backup and saving of our world and plugins, so if something ever happens we have a somewhat recent backup to go back to.

- NoCheatPlus
This little plugin will help us catch and stop all those pesky little cheaters.

- Essentials
The name pretty much says it all, this plugin is essential for any server. It has a lot of features such as /warp, /sethome, /spawn etc.

- PreciousStones
Our base-protection system of choice. A very simple system, you place a goldblock, $500 is drawn from your palace and an area of 21x21x21 surrounding the goldblock is now grief-protected. Doors, chests and levers are also protvideo showing you how it works.

- WorldBorder
Since this is a PvP-oriented server we want to encourage our players to fight, so we decided to limit the world. Currently it is set to 3000 blocks in every direction from spawn, and we plan to increase this limit as our server grows.
