Hello planetminecrafterians! I was wondering if any of you knew a nice screen recorder for mac, mostly to record minecraft(If you could give me one free option and one payed option).

I've tried a lot of them, and ScreenFlow was nice but is expensive, and Screen Record Pro is cheap but lags most Mac computers. If you want something nice and cheap, I recommend Quicktime. It comes with mac and can do screen recordings with audio in 720p (HD). If you have 100-200 bucks laying around, I recommend ScreenFlow or something like Vegas.

Thats also the one problem I have with ScreenFlow. My videos are extremely blurry. (my channel, http://www.youtube.com/user/oginfinitesparta)

twitchtv has a recorder and it records with low file size. Its very very good. 4.5 thumbs up... and no im not talking stream.

My friend uses camtasia for mac but overall you should seriosly switch over to windows because its compatable with every game

Thanks! Thank you so much for telling me why Quicktime was so freaking laggy when I recorded! Now I tried using ScreenFlow. And I recorded a episode but when I stop recording it started to lag like hell. I manage to save it and then I force quited. I opened again and edited the video, then I published it to youtube and when I opened it it was really REALLY blurry.

You can use either Screenflow, fraps or camtasia and yes fraps works on mac its what i use to record videos

Quicktime is also another option like 8BitShadows is saying. It comes with your Mac so its obviously free. All you have to do is open Quicktime and on the top it says to record. Record it, publish it!

You can record with Quicktime. I didn't have to download anything

Yep like xAudaa said, ScreenFlow is probably the best recording software you can get on a mac. The full version costs but its worth it. I record all my videos with it for my channel (Not giving link). You could get try and get a crack for it but I wouldnt recommend doing that as it is illegal.

I used Screenflow and recorder some minecraft stuff but when I uploaded it to youtube it was all damn blury.

It was probably the settings you used to import the video. Or was is export. Idk :L I haven't used ScreenFlow in a year or two. Anyways, you could find some tutorials on YouTube on how to get Screenflow to optimise the quality settings.
