Overheating and loud computer
My computer is a 2010 Macbook Pro that usually runs smoothly with Minecraft. However, in the recent months, it has started to overheat, up to 174ºF, and the fan RPM is around 4-5 thousand. I really need some help. I can't afford to buy a new one, and I hope there is a simple solution to this.
I am running Version 10.7.2
And my processor is a 2.4 GHz Intel Core 2 Duo. I have 4GB of ram.
Thanks,
LeBlu

Option 1: completely shutting down your computer and not using it unless you really need too or minimally play Minecraft.
Option 2: Try to clear your computer of any junk files you don't really need and putting extra files you don't always use on a USB drive.
Option 3: Close anything else open because that could really using your cpu making your computer work more and causing the fan to work more.
That's all i really have for you.
Hope it's fixed.

Might not only be CPU, could be graphics chip heating up as well. I suggest you open up your macbook, clean out any dust, made sure the exausts on it aren't covered up.
If that doesn't solve the problems, turn down the graphics on minecraft.

I have not a clue Blu...
I'd say check everything inside, make sure it's not loose or clogged. Maybe you have a virus or something that you've downloaded is slowing your computer down a lot?

I'm not really sure, because I don't know a lot about computers. Maybe it's the surface it's on? >_>

Mmm, nothing to do with dust. I've taken the back cover off.

If that's not it, then clean out the whole thing as pokemonboy mentioned.
