Hey guys! I was just wondering what a good way to go about making a decent HD texture pack would be. I've found that resizing images to the size of the block is rather noisy and, to be honest, is quite cheap. I'm just looking for some tips (I.e. a good program for it, some tips on how to make the quality better (blur maybe?))
And I also would like to know if making an HD texture required any other files to add to the texture folder for the hd patcher.
If anybody can answer these questions, I would be extremely grateful

People need to learn to look at the date a comment was posted. Same exact thing happens on YouTube.

Try basing your texture pack off of DokuCraft, and changing every single texture in those files. For editing them, I recommend using Gimp, unless you have Photoshop.

the reason to make an HD texture pack is to enhance the look and increase the detail of minecraft... the only thing that's different is a bigger area per block to work with so if you don't intend on using that to your advantage there's really absolutely no point to get one
