I get super strong platonic excitement lol

When I really like someone who either is my friend or someone I want to be friends with, it almost feels like I have a crush on them because I'm so excited that they exist. For most of my early life I thought I was just somehow in love with everyone my age, but as it turns out, that was just platonic excitement and I've only ever had a few rare crushes :P

I might have time for more pixel art in the near future, so if you're interested in a pixel art of your persona, feel free to leave a comment! I'd prefer it if you'd put a link to your persona or whatever you'd like me to make a pixel art of!

Disclaimer: I'm only going to do them in the resolution of my current pfp. If your request is super detailed, I'll have to simplify the design a bit

I'd prefer only one request per person, but if you make more than one, I'll make one, do the rest, and then come back to the others when I get the chance <3

For the record, I really haven't had much experience with pixel art besides making skins, so I'm not amazing at it. I'm trying to practice, so I think the best way is by making somewhat of a gift for you guys and trying to make things that I may not have chosen myself

I haven't accumulated too much homework over the first two days back to school, but my brain associates a school day with 3-6 hours of homework every night

Because of this, I've already done so much of this month's homework ._.

I'm an underachiever and a procrastinator usually, but it's so stressful not spending hours doing homework every day. I feel like I'm getting behind and failing if I don't spend most of my time on school since that's usually the bare minimum o.O

Real question, what would you do in this situation?:

"Dang, you're so much better than I am at this! I really suck at this"
Take into consideration that you're pretty much objectively better at the thing

LIKE LYING IS BAD, BUT HOW DO YOU HUMBLY SAY "Oh yeah, I actually am a lot better than you, thanks!"

This doesn't happen to me a lot since I'm usually not the best at something, but it's so awkward when it does happen!

I've tried denial which can never convince anyone
I've tried a middle ground of "hey, I really like how you do that though" which still seems like you're saying the other person is worse but it's probably the best thing I've tried
And I've tried the simple "thank you" and then the person is like "oh, so you agree that you're better huh?"

Some of this depends on circumstance… both what 'this' is and who is making the comment…
…but such occasions are always challenges to atct and diplomacy.
[Part of the challenge is that the second part ("…I really suck….") is itself somewhat rude as it can easily be seen as fishing for compliments.]

In some cases remarks like "Thanks, 10 years of practicing is actually paying off" can 'defuse' the situation.
Similarly, "Thankfully you'll never see the stuff I did at your age", or "Glad you don't get to see the ones I bin / consign to the scrap heap" may be helpful.

These work best when they are clearly at least arguably true.

When age and experience are nearly equal, citing "Different people, different talents" (particularly if you can reference something at which the other party is actually quite good) may be a better approach.

I think that PMC is a good idea but I don’t think it would be a good idea to have a new one for the same reason as the one you have now and then you can just use it for the same thing and then you can use it for the same thing but I don’t know if you have a new ones that you can use for the same thing I don’t know what you have but I think you could use it for the same thing if you want to use it for the same thing as the other one

I'm turning into a five year old. I'm entering my dinosaur obsessed era lol

I bought 4 dino plushies and a dino toothbrush holder in one day because I'm obsessed. Does this have any rationality? No, dinosaurs are extinct and we can only piece together what they looked like based on the few DNA samples left behind as well as their bone structures, so there's no way of knowing we're even getting most of these right. I will still proceed to indulge in dino themed purchases though
