I'll send you directions on how to join as Creative-Unapproved. I'll certainly teach you anything you want to know, but it would be helpful if you could narrow down what kind of house you want (rustic, creepy, modern, Nether, Egyptian, etc, lots of options just give me something to work with). Check you private messages for directions on how to join

That's so weird, I'm pretty sure I've played with you on some other game, maybe GTA or Battlefield? Because I totally recognize your PSN. I'll send you directions on how to join in a few minutes.

BertiecrafterYeah... what about the posting in the appropriate section rule?
    Just saying

This is "Minecraft Console Editions" forum. There were tons of other threads of people recruiting for MCCE servers. Pretty sure this is the "appropriate section."

Oh I just assumed they were two programs which accomplished basically the same thing. I'll check out XPadder and see if it can do what I'm looking for. Might post back here if I have any questions that Google doesn't satisfy. Thank you!

    From the OP:
I've tried remapping a PS3 Controller using DS Tool to match PC inputs, but that really doesn't work because it's still only 8 degrees of movement regardless of whether it's a joystick acting as WASD or the actual WASD keys.

Hm, okay, slightly different idea: Is there any way to change PC Minecraft's control so that you don't use the mouse to aim, but rather, to move? If I have to decide between jerky aiming and jerky movement, I'll take jerky aiming (especially since it's gradual, so it would be less dramatic, I think). Then I could remap one of the joysticks to function as the mousepad, and maybe that would make it work as well / almost as well as native controller support.

macgarthurThere's a mod that adds controller support to the Java-based version of Minecraft, but as of now it doesn't have an update for 1.9.

However, OP, I suggest you learn the keyboard controls. Like any new control setup it will take getting used to, but once you do you'll realize you have a lot more control over how you move.

Yeah, I'm not on Windows 10. Well, damn. I guess I'll just have to deal with having only 8 axes of movement.

I'm not going to respond to the second part because I REALLY don't want this to become a Console vs PC thread, but suffice it to say, I will never like the controller controls as much as the controller. I'll probably just end up using the keyboard remapped as WASD keys. Or just not play Minecraft until they fix MCCE-441, I guess.

I don't think that's true. I'll try it, but that worked with Fallout, I don't think it worked with Minecraft.

Maybe, I try to focus on one thing per video. There are a lot of redstone components you could fit into a single house.

The very next video will be on Landmines.

Online now for the first time. So far the AAF are recruiting far more people than the Raiders. We also need another Raider Leader; there will be 3 equally powerful Raider Leaders, who can coordinate however they want or not at all.

Maybe something to do with the Space Program. Or being a Detective, but you can't become a Detective without being a regular cop first and...nope.

Images are a little small on this site when they're auto-scaled, so right-click them and "Open image in new tab" to read them more clearly.

I'm on Console Edition. We have Armor Stands but I'm pretty sure I can't do the rest of that lol. Also Armor Stands can't be fired from Dispensers and would be destroyed by the explosion unlike arrows...wouldn't they? I've never actually tried to blow up an armor stand.
Skitto493I'm afraid you might have to use commands (not for the cannon itself, but to find the arrow)

I would go into Spectator mode, and continually teleport to the arrow.

Also: this video might help creating an accurate cannon: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dnY0AZMF3Xs

Console edition here so the "No Mods, No Commands" approach is more by necessity than by choice (I like using no commands or mods to build, but I would definitely use it to find the arrow if I could).

I actually did find one arrow...it was well over a hundred blocks away, in a non-linear direction from where it fired. The Gauss Cannon works conceptually (accelerating projectiles besides TNT by using condensed TNT Minecart explosions) but...it certainly needs some tweaking before I make it available to the public

Here's my video for a Sniper Cannon capable of shooting 12 TNT, some of which will fly further than 700 blocks: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=WzhvRCOC5RY

On Console Edition, you can only have 12 TNT "hissing" at any one time, so unfortunately the video you posted wouldn't work for me. Thanks still!

Also, that cannon was my first YouTube video so excuse any confusion in the tutorial if you watch it lol. I want to redo that tutorial sometime soon.

Surprisingly I think I got it to work with fairly little effort, BUT now I have a new problem. I have no way of testing where the arrows are landing. If I put a wall in front of the Gauss Cannon, it shoots the arrows at a higher level than where they were fired from, but if I remove the wall I have a hard time finding the arrows. I tried using Fire Arrows but those appeared to not really work. Any suggestions?

And here's another one for Cactus, figured I might as well just post it in this thread rather than make a new one

What kind of traps? Landmines are always fun, or I have this video on how to make a Trapped Cake: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LObQgXas9iI. Or you could look up traps which use pistons, torches / signs, and gravel or sand to remove large sections of floor and drop players into a pit.

As for puzzles, Redstone Runner is a great classic Minecraft game. I also like "Trivia Towers," where there are levels with different questions, and if you get it right you progress through the tower. If you get it wrong, you progress, but a hostile mob spawns in the next room.

Very useful for Minecraft in general, but unfortunately not at all useful for building a Gauss Rifle lol. Thanks still
