Thank you for Bringing this up! I've always wanted to address this issue but never found the time to formulate it well. You said it really clearly! I 100% agree, and think the best solution is a proper filter system. Adding more categories, and allowing users to filter out whatever they are not interested in is the perfect way to make everyone happy.
(Maybe this is a better for a different thread, but I think another point that also contributes to a lack of new quality content, is update bumping. There are so many users that update their projects every day or every other day (which is not really allowed, but not an actual written rule) with such minuscule changes, that u can't even call it an update. Adding a cool down for new logs would fix this big time.)

Something else to add after reading some peoples other concerns. I feel the main problem right now is that many projects (not just pvp packs) are being posted for the sake of gaining popularity, not sharing creation. If someone genuinely wanted to share their work with the community, they wouldn't use such backhanded tactics (? I don't think that the right phrase but hopefully u get the point :)
