I want to address some issues people are having with the project. To really step up the game and make it entirely foolproof I am looking for a web developer who can help me.

I would like to create a website where people can select what region(s) they want to download visually. Based on the requested tile(s) a download is generated that downloads ONLY the selected tiles, the spawn tile and all the regular stuff (level.dat, etc).

Do you know anyone who you expect knows how to do this? Tell me!

As far as I know, that's a realistic analysis of the situation. That said, I would like to hear from who does do backend work whether your analysis checks out. For all I know there could be a relatively simple solution.

Reality check. This will require a lot of work. First you have to create a website, then create a backend logic that will download regions from the external server (so the entire application, you'll need someone who knows backend as well). If you'll use Amazon Glacier to store the files in the cloud, it will still cost you ~$5 per month + website. I predict ~50-100 hours will be needed just to make it work and I doubt someone will work for free.

      Weekend recap week #12

      Failed experiment:
I was experimenting with a script and got the outcome below. There is potential to use this script to create chaos. Maybe i'll see if i can manipulate it to create a whirlwind model.

      Repository update:
I've spend many, many hours cutting out 660 objects and turning them into schematics. This covers two subsets of models.

dead standing trees is very simple, fallen over trees are a placement issue more than one of creation. Not very high on my list of things tbh. but thanks for the input!

Exciting news. I'm working on an update for my tree repositories. They've aged gracefully, but no longer meet the quality standards I wish to aspire to. After tens of thousands of downloads (thanks!) it's time.

      Custom Tree Repository
      Fantasy Tree Repository

You've done a lot for me, but now is the time to be selfish. Tell me how I can improve the tree repositories to better help YOU.

      Planned changes:

      1. Implement acacia and dark oak blocks

      2. Improve naming system

      3. General fixes

Please also fill out this poll, it may influence formatting:

Poll: I use the tree repository

Make larger trees, and make more fantasy trees, such as some labeled Elven, like gigantic elven-like trees. I would lpve that. There are about 3 huge trees and i wish there were more. thanks. oh, and make more birch and oak trees that are medium sized. I think im done now. Thanks for the repositories! Bye!

What's up is the same as always, just less of it.
