Creating skins is a pastime and an artistical expression for me. I do it for the purpose of my own and others’ entertainment, practicing and carrying out my creative talent and fulfilling my own and others’ needs and desires for skins high in quality. To ensure that I will stay on the right path in doing so, I will observe the following 10 principles:

I.
I will always strive after improvement with the ultimate goal of perfection, even though I am aware that I will never reach it.
To do this, I will try out and experiment with new styles and techniques instead of always continuing with what I am comfortable with.
During this progress, my intermediate objective will be to develop my own, unique and distinguishable style, as opposed to mimicking others’ styles.
I will stay self-critical and continuously challenge myself.

II.
It is the final result that matters, not the methods and techniques I used to reach it. This includes different tools and programs, but excludes methods of the following point.

III.
I will not use any premade parts, shading templates, color palettes or anything else that I did not create myself, and publish the result under my name.
I will not blatantly take ideas from others, but instead try to come up with new ideas myself.

IV.
I will not deliberately hold back my knowledge about creating skins, but try to share it with others, if requested.

V.
I will respect others’ work and their way of reaching it, unless it is wrong to morality.

VI.
I will respect others’ opinions, feedback and constructive criticism and take them to heart.
Vice versa, I will give feedback and criticize others in a constructive way only.

VII.
I will not intentionally try to split the skinning community with my actions.

VIII.
I refuse to see level-systems or any other statistics such as upvotes, views, subscriber-count, or the like as a true reflection of mine and others’ capabilities.

IX.
I will not claim to be superior to others based on mine and their work.

X.
I will not blindly obey any rules regarding the creation of skins, but always scrutinize them in a critical way and combine them with my common sense.
There are exceptions for every rule.
