At this current moment in time, I use 8GB in my system. I say that if one does not think they'll need more than 8GB, they probably don't, but I say it's always a good idea to get a motherboard with four RAM slots (as opposed to two), because that can help extend the life of the system down the road in case Microsoft decides people who only web browse need 32GB of RAM at the least.
Honestly, to me, that looks like more like a "how high can the price go" of a system instead of an actual educated decision towards a good computer build.
