The land is barren; it lacks greenery and any source of life. This bleak and featureless landscape is accentuated by the date of the day. It is towards the end of the year, which means that there should be snow, frosting the ground, and trees. No snow is seen, and there are few arboreal objects. The trees are dead, and the only sign of winter is a dull, faded gray sky, with a chilling air rushing around soundlessly as dark clouds cast shadows on the ground. The house itself matches the monotonous terrain around it; windows seem to stare out into the distance as if hoping that a more vivid and colorful element will enter its view. A minute fissure is visible between the foundations of the imposing structure; nobody would easily see it. A black lake, water bubbling, waves rippling, grips on the precarious, crumbling path to this gloomy abode, as if desiring a visitor to fall into the grimy depths. Sharp, pointed towers rise from the roof of the dark dwelling, like recently furnished rapiers, ready to impale. The door yawns like a mouth ready to devour, the interior dimly illuminated by soft candles. Shallow breathing echoes softly from inside. The door shuts, creaking, hinges whining, and thuds.

Yes, I did write this entire thing.

One day you're going to get somewhere you're proud of. That moment you're proud of your own work is going to last longer and longer until it doesn't fade. One day you'll learn what the difference between taking inspiration from your own shortcomings and putting yourself down is. That improvement warrants pride, not embarrassment for not yet being where you are now. One day you'll look at the work of someone you admire and it will do what it was meant to, inspire, instead of burning you out. You'll make it through the rough patches, take your inspiration, and run with it. You are already that inspiration to someone, and the more you grow the more you can be the pillar holding up someone else's motivation. Until then, there's a community somewhere that loves you and will hold you on a pedestal until you grow into it, whether you've found it already or not. One day, you'll be able to hold yourself up, and we'll still be there every step of the way. I'm proud of where you are now and confident enough for the both of us that you'll make it even further.
