Back Story: I never knew my mom, until i came to camp-half blood.
I was in school, when a cheer-leader i had a crush on came walking toward me. I almost turned and ran out of embarrassment. But i couldn't show i was shy. She came over and just acted casual, as though we had been dating for weeks, i barely knew her. I thought this was strange, and inquired. "Why are you suddenly being so nice to me?" I asked. "What do you mean Valdez? Something wrong? We've been together for weeks." What i didn't know at that time, was the mist was in work here, of course at the time, i didn't know what the mist was. "Uhh.." I stuttered, i need to go think for a minute. "I have to go...go meet my friend, i told him i would see him." "See ya later Valdez." I walked off to see my friend Derek. When i found him , he was pale.
Strange i thought, he is the most tan person i know. I pushed that to the back of my head.
"Sup Derek?" "Oh..Uhh...Hey Josh, how's it going?" This is strange i thought over and over, he NEVER stutters, he was always good with words. My other (Crippled) friend Garett Came over and smacked Derek in the stomach with his crutches. (Yes he's my protecter) "GARETT! Dude! What are you DOING!" I yelled. "Look I'm your protecter NO TIME TO EXPLAIN!" He threw me his crutch. I caught it and was surprised. "Dude! You need this you're crippled!" Just then in my hand it turned into a javelin. "Woah man! What's going on. OH MY GOD! WHY ARE YOU TAKING OFF YOUR PANTS--- YOU HAVE GOAT LEGS!?!?!?!? Then i passed out.
When i awoke i was in my car. Garett and my dad; Mr. Valdez (Or Paul Valdez) were there. "Woah man, I had the strangest dream -Heh- You had Goat legs-" I looked at his legs, and they were still goat legs. He brought me out of my confusion and shock by snapping. "Yea, sorry josh, it wasn't a dream."
I looked out the window. "Hey..Uhh guys! Why is Derek running so fast, and why does he have fangs?" I suddenly realized why he was pale, he is a vampire, but i thought i must be in a second dream, so i pinched my self so hard i passed out again.
I re-awoke to the sound of screaming and glass breaking. I heard a muffled "Run Josh, get to the camp it's just to the right,wait no, GO NORTH FROM HERE! RUN!" "Dad, I'm not leaving you." I Answered "Josh, you have to, Your mother, she is not normal, The camp will teach you everything...GO!" "Bye dad, I love you" I turned around. "LETS GO GARETT!" He turned and ran so fast i barely knew he was coming. I sprinted to something like an archway, that i couldn't read at first, but it said Camp Half-Blood. I dared to glance back one time while i ran, big mistake, i saw derek grab my dad and bite his neck. I ran under the archway and felt a surge of energy come through me.
Derek tried to run under the archway but was bounced back, we were safe-for now. Then i passed out for the last time.
