The Astraspis, also known as the star shield, is an ancient fish that had no jaw. It was found in the Ordovician of Central North America including the Harding Sandstone of Colorado and Bighorn Mountains of Wyoming. They were around 7 inches in length and colored in hard scales. Some would also have spine like bumps along their back and sides. They did not have gills in the traditional sense but rather small holes along the side of their head. They were often preyed upon by sea scorpions. They were green on their body and more yellow on their tail. I made mine blue to blend in better with the minecraft waters, as their coloring was their only means of defense.
