Probably my second favorite behind the cancelled white axolotl, and a little better looking than the Glowing green design (in the gills at least). This is obviously inspired by real life "Dalmatian" axolotls which are a purpley-gray color. Real life Dalmatian Axolotls are often called "Lavender" due to the almost purple appearance of their skin. Below are the links to my take on the axolotl that inspired this, and the page that inspired me to save this axolotl from being lost to history. I did not mean to sound dramatic, but I don't think I have seen anyone try to remake the prototype axolotl skins, and I'd rather pieces of history like this be remembered.

It does have several of the cancelled skins, but it has remade versions of them in their programmer art form, which means that next to the latest texture update to axolotls, they stand out a bit at least to me.
