a henodus is a turtle with a flat, square shell that lived during the late triassic period. (about 228 to 220 million years ago.) it had a flat beak and only two teeth for eating plants. it was 1 meter (3 feet) long. its paddle-like limbs and tail helped it travel along shallow lagoons in Europe. fossils have been found in Germany.
