So this mod adds 7 new types of plants into the game :D
Before we get started READ THIS carefully!
1.EVERY SEED IS CRAFTED IN THIS ORDER!

X=Seed(Wheat Seed)
O=Ore(Coal, Iron Ingot, Gold Ingot, Diamond, Redstone, Lapis, Emerald)

2.THESE SEEDS GROW LIKE NORMAL PLANTS! NEAR A WATER SOURCE, PLANTED ON TILLED LAND.

3. CUSTOM BONEMEAL IS CRAFTING LIKE THIS! ALL 7 ORES CAN CRAFT IT, DIFFERENT ORES GIVE DIFFERENT QUANTITIES!!

Okay Now for the basics! :D
1.can only be placed on tilled land just like wheat/pumpkin/melon
2.has to be near(4 blocks) a water source
3.Stems grow their corresponding ores.

How To Install Growable Ores Mod
Requirements:
Modloader
Minecraft
First Download Modloader Here: MODLOADER(click me)
Than Go click the "start" button
type in "run"
Hit enter
Type in %appdata%, hit enter
go into the ".minecraft" folder
go into the "bin" folder
open up "Minecraft.jar" with winrar or 7zip
delete "META-INF"
drag and drop modloader files into "Minecraft.jar"
Download "Growable Ores" Mod: GROWABLE ORES MOD(click me)
drag and drop files from "Growable Ores Mod" into "Minecraft.jar"
close "Minecraft.jar" and run minecraft!

Over powered cause I plant 10diamond,emerald,gold,iron and coal.The first and grow the fastest one is diamond and emerald,and the most longest to grow is coal and iron,it's so different,coal and iron should grow fastest then the diamond and emerald,butter,well,it is normal,if you can,make the diamond and emerald growing slower,coal and iron faster

first make your plant surround your ore with seeds then hoe the earth place the plant and wait OR make the cusom bone meal place a bone meal normal and surround it with 4 coal its also in the pictures and wait. do not hoe the ground it will grow onto it grows as a melon would

ATTENTION ALL!  I HAVE A GROWABLE ORES MOD FOR 1.4.5!  IT WORKS DIFFERENTLY, BUT HAS THE SAME CONCEPT.

And for the record, I made the mod before I knew this existed.  And since it is updated, you may as well give it a try.  it uses forge:  http://www.planetminecraft.com/mod/growable-ores-145/
