Lemon Quartz could be Topaz.

Ruby looks like redstone, and the last one looks like gold but good...

I have a great idea! Make a dimension for every block that adds or if you really want to top it off make dimensions from other blocks that come from vanilla!

Build a portal just use ruby block and not obsidian

Honestly, Too many people got the Ruby texture from the 1.3.2 items.png in the gui folder and turning it into a ruby in-game! I am seriously mad at this. Can you guys create you're own textures?

still love the mod dont make the crystals growable that would ruin it ,maybe amethsyt and rose quartz and crystal and lemon quartz for rainbow stuff you would obviously need to add in rose quartz and amethyst though maybe have a new creeper The "crystal creeper" just saying and maybe like a raygun kinda like the one from CoD Zombies made with all types of gems and also a new torch

How about you do like thaumcraft did, and make it possible to grow crystals, but also make it a bit different, like, the seeds are huge, take up nearly half a block, and can grow into huge crystal blocks that actually shape like crystals, and even get to be fricken humongous!


But then again, all you've added is ores and armor. That's simple stuff, not really worth much, modding-wise. But if oyu can do something like make a redstone abled crystal block, you will be praised like a god. By me.

I'm going to apologize for how I am about to sound but I think that I have had quite enough of these new ores and armors and such. 

Firstly, I applaud your efforts in making a cohesive mod for the community to enjoy for that already surpasses my programming skills. However, as a consumer of your mods I would like to add some constructive criticism and I would love to hear back from you, your thoughts on my opinion whether it be good or bad. I think this mod has great potential because you did indeed put a lot of work into it. However, the tools and armor system of minecraft is already balanced enough and the ores are at the right rarity in the game that allows for a natural progression of even stronger tools and armors to be acquired in the future.


What I am saying is that in short, you should change the functionality of these beautifully designed ores and gems. Firstly I would make the ores much rarer than they actually are as I have tested them in game and they seem to be quite commonplace. 


Here are a few of my suggestions. Of course you do not have to listen to me or my rant but I thought you would like some constructive criticism.


Rubies: Before Emeralds were released in minecraft, as you already may know, the Ruby was supposed to be the currency item in minecraft. Why not implement that back into the game? Have special trades that require rubies instead of emeralds and have rare trades that require BOTH Rubies and Emeralds.


Crystal: In folklore, crystals have always had untapped powers. Why not create special magical adornments that can only be crafted out of crystal like glowing glass lights. For the recipe, have the crystal surrounded by glass in the crafting table and create a low light emitting block. You can change the light color by adding dyes to it in the crafting table and it can be turned on by redstone. Or have a magical amulet that lets you see through a certain number of blocks: Preferably 3 for a balanced touch. Or you can even make a set of magical wands with certain powers like Teleportation, Fire Starting, Water Sourcing, or even go commical and create a Chicken King wand that makes everything it right clicks on into chickens lol.


Sapphire: This one was a bit tricky for me to think of something but I think I got it. I know it is repetitive but try adding it to the Ruby and Emerald nitch for special item trades and such. Create new items if you'd like. Or even go so far as trading Sapphires for Emeralds or Rubies. You can also use them for potions.


Lemon Quartz: Because of its likeness to Diamond, I think this should be the rarest gem. It can be used similarily to Crystal or you can use it to enhance food. Now, the only reason I thought of enhancing food is because of the "Lemon" in its name which I am fully aware is meant to only signify color. However, this could be an edible gem that adds enchantment boosts to foods, you can create a Lemon Cake persay.


Lastly but not least, I would suggest making them glow as Gems are very reflective in real life. Make them glow similarily to redstone ore. Sorry for all the words but I really like this mod and I hope it will grow. Good day to you sir and I will be watching eagerly for your next update. :]
