Built by the Baldwin-Lima-Hamilton Corporation in April 1955, for logging use on the McCloud River Railroad, along with her sister engine, numbered 32 and 33. Both engines were briefly owned by Chrome Crankshaft between 1969-70, when they were sold to California Western Railroad - "The Skunk Train" - where they were renumbered 55 and 56. Over time, 55 was cannibalized for parts to keep 56 running, and in 1992, 56 in her Skunk Train paint job, was donated to Travel Town along with many spare parts. When acquired, it was planned to be used on the proposed Crystal Springs & Cahuenga Valley Railroad, a rail line from the museum to the Los Angeles Zoo. It, along with Travel Town No. 1 "Charley Atkins" are the only two operating locomotives at travel town. (At the time of writing)
