PROJECT HISTORY :
So, today, I'm going to introduce the map I've been working on for about two months. It is a hogwarts map (yep, another one). Another one, however, which is, I'm sure, the best, or at least the most faithful map in the whole Minecraft community, so far. I used the Harry Potter films, the videos games (5th and 6th) and some photos of the Hogwarts replica in Warner Bros studios, in London. My project is to recreate the Wizarding world of Harry Potter (first, I'll be focusing on Hogwarts) and maybe to make an adventure map. I know this is not very original, many people already attempted to do the same (yhnu5967, PotatoOrgy), but their maps (which were amazing) had some mistakes, I'll try to do less mistakes than them.
TEXTURE PACK :
Io ve created a texture pack, without which my map looks horrible. Let make this clear : I didno t create any of the textures ! I just gathered them from others textures pack like Misa, JohnSmith, Pottercraft and many others. As I told you, the textures pack IS REQUIRED !
SOUND PACK :
Io ve created a sound pack. This sound pack includes
-Harry Potter musics
-Harry Potter sounds
-New sounds for bows, doors, chests, creepers, zombies.
-Secrets soundso ¦.
Youo ll need the Sound Mod Enabler mod which is included in the download link (official topic in the credits)

!!!!!! The paintings are not to their right place (for exemple, ito s not the Fat Lady portrait that guards the Gryffindor common room). Theyo ll be fixed for the next release !!!!!
INSTALLATION :
-Press the "Windows key" + the "r" key.
-Type in "%appdata%" (without the quotation marks). Then, press "Ok".
-Go in AppData/Roaming/.minecraft.
-Put the folders "texture pack", "resources" and "saves" (from the download ) into your .minecraft folder.
-In .minecraft, go in the bin folder.
-Find the file named minecraft.jar, right-click on it, choose "open with" and choose "Winrar Archiver".
-Once minecraft.jar is open, find and delete the META-INF folder.
-Open the "mods" folder (from the download), and put its content in minecraft.jar.
-Enjoy.

Io m going to finish the inside of Hogwarts. 50% is done, and the other 50 % will be mainly based on my imagination and the the description from the Harry Potter wiki. After that, Io m going to build the rest of the Wizarding World of Harry Potter. This will include :

-12, square Grimmaurd

-Privet Drive
-Ministry of Magic

I will also make 7 adventures map (one for each year Harry spend at Hogwarts)

EDIT: Could you please give me an estimation about when it could be done? Also I have WinRAR but I can't download the soundtrack & mod, it tells me "Access Denied" I would like to know why. Thanks!!!!!!
And can you make pictures (labeled) so i know where everything is?
Then, I can't upload a schematic beacause the castle is far too big and MC Edit won't let me create a schematic..But as I said, you're free to download the map and try to make a schematic yourself.
