1.8 Journey Of Wink - Open World Survival Adventure Fantasy RPG Minecraft Map

Story:
You play yourself in this world as you wake up in the middle of the night on a deserted island with no memory of who or where you are, or how you got there. You have no knowledge of this strange land. A mysterious note is left behind for you to find upon your awaking. Prepare to journey through these strange lands as you find random journal pages of what happened to bring you to this strange place. Become a mighty hero along the way as you defeat many trials and help the people of this world.

About The Map:
- 1.8 - 1.8.9 (Map will not play in 1.9)

- NO MODS Needed
- A different kind of survival. Break blocks all your like, try not to grief towns or dungeons. Think Skyrim or Fallout. Go to the village, get quests, complete quests, get rich and powerful.

- This map was made in John Smith Legacy Texture Pack and is intended to be played in this Texture Pack. (Map will not play without the texture pack.)

John Smith Legacy, 1.8.9 The Bountiful Update: John Smith Legacy 1.8.9 v1.3.18
- Is meant to be played in survival on Easy or higher. Never open/play the map in peaceful.
- I suggest saving your file often. Its always good to have backups of your save file.

- Meant to be played single player.

- This adventure map contains elements of rpg, survival, CTM, Puzzle, and some other adventure elements as well.

- There are 4 main cities/villages in the world complete with villagers, shops and quests.

- Many Quests to complete for the people who live in this land.

Extra:

- Book Heavy.

- Follow the rules as strictly or lax as you want, they are there to be general guidelines. Remember that playing the map in peaceful will break it.

- This is a large open world (roughly 1000x1000 blocks).

- Many decisions of what tasks you take on are up to you, this is where reading the many books given along the way by the inhabitants can help guide this decision process.

---

Useful Tips-

- My advice in general is to play it how you want and what is most fun to you. Though skipping books and trying to

"fly" through the map quickly might make things more difficult and confusing for the player.

- If you come across something you cant figure out or that seems confusing, come back to it later.

- Remember you can break and place blocks everywhere except towns.
- Carry enough wood on you so you can craft levers and/or ladders if you need.

- Carry some gold when you explore/adventure, you never know when you might need to do a little shopping.

- A book and quill is a great investment for any Hero.

- The world is not really "linear", it is very open world, so everyone who plays will have a somewhat different experience.

----

- Made by Wink with the help of programs: MCEdit, WorldPainter, NBTexplorer, and all the amazing information out there on redstone.

And thanks so much to my sister. This map was originally made for her and ended up turning into a large full scale project thanks to all the inspiration she gives me.

Why should the mobs and friendly creatures sounds be off?

Because there are NPCs and Mobs in specific places throughout the world. So you may be walking around in the wilderness and hear a ghast or a zombie or a villager, look around and see nothing cause they are probably under you in some sort of dungeon. Having Hostile and Friendly creatures off in the sound settings makes for a less irritating and confusing game play, also adds some element of surprise in some dungeons and quests. However, is not game breaking if you want to leave those settings on.
