A Base on Mars for Galacticraft

Release for Minecraft 1.6.4 and 1.7.10
(don't forget to follow the instructions on how to install below)

This is a base on Mars that I started to build before Galacticraft Mars to be released. It was made entirely on the Overworld, and the terrain around the base was converted to reproduce an martian landscape.



I removed all liquid water and left some frozen water pockets, replaced grass with sand and coal with iron, removed all trees and living things and did other shenanigans.

The base itself is pretty cool and fully furbished. Focused on detail rather than size. The equipments and machines are working. Next to the base is an village with Alien Villages and a pyramid with loot waiting for you.

It's released click on the "Download" button it will lead you to the library download. If you want you can favorite it to be notified of the next updates.

Some technical details:
- gamerules like doMobSpawning, doMobLoot and MobGriefing were turned off, and keepInventory is true
- it was actually a vanilla world converted into a martian landscape, but if you walk far enough it will generate new chunks with normal terrain.
- all biomes within the limits were set to Desert.

How to install my base

It's all made on the Overworld. You can just place it in your "saves" directory or use it in an existing world (ask for help if you need). To be able to use it fully, install the mods listed below, essentially Galacticraft. You can opt out some mods if you don't want certain features. If you have questions or something went wrong, ask away.

Required mods and texture packs

For Minecraft 1.6.4

This world can be opened with no mods, but you will lost special and themed items and blocks.

To play this world fully, you will need the mods below. Requires Forge Universal 9.10.1.965 (download here)

Resource packs

Mars resource pack and Aeon resource pack are required. This base was made with Aeon and it will look horrible in vanilla set. A special patch with custom textures and martian sky is here: Aeon Extension Patch.
