A Helpful Night is a map that takes place a few days before Christmas Eve. You start off in the wilderness, where you have to set up your camp for the first night. On your way back home, you meet lots of new people you can make friends with. If you are friendly to them to they'll also be friendly to you. Every choice counts! On your journey you can also see many breathtaking views.

The map has fully functional dialog, shop and accessory systems. Enjoy your play!

Greetings!

One thing: I would have loved a way to enter Creative Mode or at least some sort of flight mode to get a better opening cinematic but the anti-cheat measures are preventing that from happening. I appreciate that you don't want people breaking the map, but that really is their own fault if they do. No reason to punish the rest of us. :(

Regardless, it's been a fun map so far and I'm looking forward to finishing it! Cheers. ^_^

An absolute blast to play through, with really innovative redstone. I loved all the use of custom armor stand "villagers", custom block models, and a really whimsical, fun soundtrack.

I just had a few constructive criticisms as I went along:
-you might allow creative mode for when things break. Like when I built the snowman it ate one of my sticks.
-A small change would be to remove villager noses from their texture so the custom villagers wearing player heads look more natural
-you might also remove the villager death sound, which I could hear during one of the minigames. I just imagined a pile of dead bodies barely off screen from my ice cream van.
-there seemed to be a bug with the head crafter minigame where one of the heads wasn't recognized properly. I tried mirrored and flipped and neither seemed to work. It was a mostly red head.
-there were a few areas like the present giving minigame where the music timed out. You might either lengthen the music or shorten the minigame.
-the moment with mom kind of came out of the blue, and then we move on in like 5 seconds like nothing happened, it was weird.

Thanks for the review! We already have a update ready for christmas! This was actually our first map ever! And it came out really good. We also like that you gtive some criticisms.


Stuff that will be fixed in A Helpful Night V2.0 (1.9+):
- Villager Sounds (Death And Noise)
- Implement a new music system (remove the old stopsound and implement /stopsound)
- Fix headcrafter bug (Red Head)
- Fix snowman bug (This was reported a long time ago, hopefully we can fix it!)


Stuff that will be added in A Helpful Night 2.0 (1.9+):
- Voice Acting
- Repeating Command Blocks etc...
- Spelling of certain words.
- Minor bugs.
- And some game breaking bugs..


At the same time we are working on a whole new map that has loads of new features and mechanics.

Sorry for the late response, this map is not yet compatible for 1.9! We have planned an 1.9 release around chritmas, this version will include voice acting too!

Will you help me, please? When I get to the musician guy, the guy isn't there. Then when I get to Victor's Camp, her just goes on reading. Why?

Thanks for contacting us, somewhere in August we will be releasing a brand new update for A Helpful Night, with voice acting etc...

At the moment I am not sure what is causing this problem, we will be looking in to it.
