I felt like uploading a preview of the project that has consumed most of my minecraft playtime. This was originally built on jaggy.org survival server by me, but when I left the server, I decided to make schematics of my biggest projects and finish them in single player.

The village was originally built in a Extreme Hills Edge biome, bordering a Taiga Hills biome, but I completely blended it in in a River and Swamp biome.

The project is allmost completely finished, I still need to work out some interiors, and some minor details. If you use this in any of your builds, please respect the fact that I have worked on this for a long long time, and do not claim this as your own work :) Thank you!

I often see huge cathedrals, houses, bridges, etc... All very detailed but also very out of scale with your average Steve. The idea upon which this project was based, is that I wanted to create a very detailed village, in a mountain biome, because I like the blend constructions into it's environment, and do it all on Steve's scale. This proved to be quite a challenge, but I'm personally starting to like the results.

If you like it, feel free to leave me a comment, give me a diamond, or favorite it, positive feedback is a great stimulation to continue working on it!

The world is called Gaia, and in .rar format

Additional Notes

I did 90% of the work myself, I did however get some help from a couple of friends, who made a house, or helped me with the detailing. I wish to thank Afyt, for the house in the mountain wall, yes one of the many :), I could blend it in nicely! Also I wish to thank SypeSypher, for one of the houses, managed to blend that one in nicely as well! And I whish to thank Mulax, for being a source of inspiration and furnishing some of the houses by occupying them, and special thanks to Fakirgnome, for helping me with the boring blending work
CreditFor inspiration I've looked around PMC, servers and other websites, Thanks to all the builders that gave me idea's for my builds!

Update #9 : by Mr Coconuts 05/12/2013 6:07:18 amMay 12th, 2013

Continued work on furnishing the houses, felt like making a mineshaft. Found a naturally generated mine, which I've started working on. Came across some huge caverns, planning to make another underground city in them once I finish the above ground part.
