An abandoned farm nestled between some low hills and a forest.

Okay, so this one needs some explanation. I was writing up a Dungeons & Dragons campaign and needed a lair for the villains, a gang of bandits. As it turned out, they were holed up in an abandoned farmstead (which I named Massana Farm). It was up to the heroes to infiltrate the base and exterminate the bad-guys. This is that farm.

I created this schematic while writing up the adventure to help me visualize the layout of the adventure. It turns out - surprisingly - that Minecraft is really useful in that regard and I recommend it to any other GMs. It also gave me an opportunity to play around with MCEdit's landscaping tools.

The map itself is fairly basic. It features a small farm complex - four buildings (main building, shed, outhouses, stables) and a corner tower built on some low hills. The fields in front of this cluster of buildings are overgrown and untended. Access to the area is via a narrow winding path through the surrounding woods opening onto the fields in front of the farm. The buildings themselves - all furnished in this schematic - include living chambers, a small hall where the bandit-leader holds court, and even a small dungeon in the cellar below.

As stated, this map was not designed specifically as a Minecraft project but as a tool for my own use. However, I think it turned out fairly well (I myself rather like the hills and forest) and have decided to share it with the community in case anyone else might have some use for it.
