Summary
When France realized it's AMX-30 had no chance against it's Soviet counterparts, the AMX-56 leclerc was built in 1990. It had an automatically loading gun, which made the tank have a crew of only 3. This also made it one of the 28 tanks in the world that have an autoloader. Production of the leclerc stopped in 2008, but it's producer, GIAT, plans to manufacture more tanks only when necessary.
