Yes. I am actually going this route. For my first Minecraft map project... I'm making an actual world map. In Minecraft. Yeah.


This world I have is called "Neufo." It's basically a fantasy world I plan to add a rich history(Timeline included) to. I basically made a giant thing of Lapiz Lazuli(To represent water), and then
I built in some continents made from grass, sand, leaves, netherrack, etc. So far the map of Neufo includes...

• 3-4 Continents
  
• 6-7 Islands
  
• Around 13 small towns/villages
  
• 4 major cities
  
• Various biomes(Plains, jungle, forest, tundra, and volcano)
  
• A giant tree!
  
• A mountain!
  
• VOLCANOES!!!
  
• And rivers
  

You should expect even more coming soon. Not only do I have all of these physical features, but I have signs labelling and describing some locations, and later I will be adding books to describe the history, locations, culture, geography, and all the other little details!

The project is far from done. Once I have every continent finished, every town settled, and every book written, you can check this out and learn about this world! Hell, when I'm done you can use this world as the base for your own adventure map or EVEN something not related to Minecraft! Just ask me!

Oh, and do NOT expect this to be the only world map I make. I have other ideas up my sleeve for other worlds >:D
