This project is a rebuild of the world wonder from the Saracens’ people in Microsoft’s Game Age of Empires in yellow team colour. In the real world it is the “Malwiya Minaret at the Mosque of Samarra” in Iraq. It is one of the very rare spiral Minarets.

This building was planned as Egyptian lighthouse (there is no need for a minaret in the RP World so far) for the RP but discarded, because the planed harbor city (Pharos) should get an Egyptian styled lighthouse based on the real Pharos of Alexandria. I have built it later, because I want to build all AoE II Wonders, so Pharos will get two lighthouses so far.

I am big fan of Age of Empires and always tried to build some of buildings in Minecraft but everything I have tried ago was not good enough to be shown. But by time by "Minecraft-Skills" have become better and so I finally tried to build some of the AoE II World Wonders.



Honestly this was the easiest AoE Wonder I have build. I planned the building on paint.net to get a fine round beginning what needed about 7 minutes. The building needed 2 hours.

Dieses Projekt ist ein Nachbau des Weltwunders der Sarazenen aus dem Spiel Age of Empires von Microsoft in der Teamfarbe Gelb. Das AoE Model basiert auf dem „Malwiya-Minaret der großen Moschee von Samarra“ im heutigen Irak.


Dieses Gebäude wurde als ägyptischer Leuchtturm für due RP-Welt geplant, jedoch wurde er verworfen, da die große geplante ägyptische Hafenstadt Pharos lieber einen echt ägyptischen bekommen soll; welcher auf dem Pharos von Alexandria basiert. Später wurde diese Projekt doch gebaut, da ich AoE II Weltwunder Serie ja voll kriegen will, sodass Pharos voraussichtlich zwei Leuchttürme bekommen wird.



Ich bin ein großer Fan der Age of Empires Serie und hatte immer wieder versucht, einige der AoE Gebäude in Minecraft nachzubauen, doch war (fast) nichts davon vorzeigbar. Doch wurde ich mit den Jahren erfahrener und versuchte mich nach einigen Bauwerken auch mit AoE Weltwundern.

Ehrlich gesagt war dies das einfachste AoE Weltwunder, was ich je gebaut habe. Die Vorplanung mit Paint.net, damit die runde Turmfläche auch wirklich rund wird, dauert 7 Minuten. Der Bau ansich knapp 2 Stunden.
