Throughout the many galaxies under the firm control of the Overworld Imperium, many worlds have been lain to waste by pirates, raiders, and slavers, but the OI couldnt establish a consistent military force as the new recruits would simply steal their equiptment and sell it for money and goods. When these occurances
had caused too much damage and disturbance, the Overworld Imperium
chose to create a new military force to deal with such scum. As such they turned to Armin Drive Yards for their solution.




Armin Drive Yards worked with their request and churned out the first four prototype D.R.O.N.E.S. (Destination Reconissance Omni-Neutralizing Environmental Surveyor) that filled the roles of bombing,
fighter escort, all-around functionality, and anti-air/spacecraft
destruction. These drones could be very easily produced and were very
cheap as they lacked any form of jump-drive or artificial intelligence,
rather relying on a central AI within every manned-fighter ship or
bigger to coordinate their brutal attacks. The drones, while cheap,
were extremely fast, exceedings speeds that normal pilots could not
achieve without significant augemntations, they were also very well armed, carrying weapons to both neutralize and eliminate almost any enemy they came across.


While
they were not very dangerous to capital ships on their own, swarms of
these ships could easily rip through even the largest of capital ships,
one of their most prominent uses being their famed "Kamikaze" attack
pattern. This pattern was only activated if the unit had run out of all
ammnition
and was damaged beyond sufficient repair and once activated, would fly
at their max speed into the nearest enemy ship, tearing through anything
that got in its way.


Overall, the Overworld Imperium was
very satisfied with their request and subsequent product, and there are
reports of previously corrupted worlds once again returning to civility
and order.




Overworld has placed orders for 5,000,000,000 D.R.O.N.E.S. every six standard months for every galaxy under their control.
