It is known knowledge that when it comes to war, it is usually DeVita versus all. Because of this a couple fled their Kingdom and set out to find a place where war would not reach them… a safe haven.

Augustus and Lorie set off on their journey until they came across a piece of land. It seemed abandoned as if no one frequented the path. Believing this to be a spot safe enough to rest, they pitched their handmade tents.

They stayed there longer than they had planned, and eventually, due to the lack of visitors, they decided it was the perfect place to stay.

They started by finding seeds to plant wheat, they did need food to survive after all. They began building a small farm, and Augustus even went out to find wood and other materials, in order to build a home for his wife to have shelter.

Slowly though, Lorie began to feel lonely. While she loved her husband, he was often gone in order to provide. That was when she developed the idea to find people who also sought a safe haven.

It was during their search for more people, that Lorie fell ill. Soon her belly began to swell and she realized that she was pregnant. Because of this, she was to stay home in safety, and this, in turn, fueled Augustus to find civilization.

While Augustus was out within the forest, he heard a scream that sent him running. By this point, they had gathered a small following. Once he reached their small home, he saw that two men were pointing their bows at his wife.

Luckily for him, he was not the only one that ran home after the woman’s scream. A couple of men also showed themselves, though they were not familiar.

His wife was saved and that was the moment that Augustus vowed he would build a sturdy stone wall, and a gate large enough that no man would harm them.

That was the start of a town called Augorie.

First, the wall went up, and then the farm was expanded, which came with a windmill. Soon the town was bustling with life, happy people building away in the safety of their own town walls.

Augustus and Lorie Emerson had decided after their child was born, that they did not want the town to be like the Kingdom’s they had seen so often. They wanted everyone to have a say, and so they created a council of sorts.

Sadly the time had come many years after the town was founded, for Augustus and Lorie to pass on in peace. They were buried in the Emerson family crypt next to the church. They died with smiles on their face, content with the life they got to live.

The town lived on in their memory, council members switching should someone pass or leave. A safe haven away from war, where no matter the struggle, the people lived in harmony.

That lore above is what inspired this build to reach its finished state. At first I couldn't find inspiration for the build, and then I brought out the lore team member in me and bam, lore that involved my server came forth, and thus so did Augorie. I'm actually very proud of this build, as it's one of the first ones that I built where I did a majority of the work. Don't worry, the person who helped me with small details (interior of a couple of houses, things like that) encouraged me to put this here, thus giving her full permission. Fancepants, if you'd like to look her up.

I will say though, that there are a couple of structures - two to be exact, that I got from YouTube tutorials. Those will be in the additional credit section.

Anyway, this build took me I want to say.. about 10 hours over a course of 3 weeks. There were times that I hit an inspiration snag which delayed the work, but honestly I'm proud of myself for doing what I did in the time that I did. I'm not tooting my own horn and I'm definitely not full of myself, but I can admit when I have confidence, which is a rare sight for me.

The build is a raid town (ooc pvp game of sorts), for a medieval roleplay server (Mordonia) that I happen to be a co-owner on.

Anyway, as far as downloading the schematic goes, all I ask is that you credit me where credit is due should you use it.
