Well met! This is my most recent dwarven project, a great city of a great people.

The dwarves of the Broadbeards have been chosen as the leading clan for several centuries, and so they have built the greatest city in the dwarven lands. Trade with other peoples has emerged around the valley of the gate and it made Broad-hall even more prosperous. This is the only place of the 5 great dwarven cities, where each dwarven clan has an embassy at which they share their knowledge and skill with all other dwarves.

The mountains of the dwarves were always surrounded by human villages and farmlands. The humans began to suffer orc attacks as their very distant king declared war on the orcs. The guards of the villages did not have the numbers to defend the people, and the king did not mind to send protection, as he preferred to travel to the orc lands, north of the dwarven mountains. The high king of the dwarves thought that this was an odd choice, since trade with the dwarves was common, and brought the human realm much coin.

And honour is a trait of the dwarven race that will not easy be tossed aside, and that is why the dwarves protected the human villages from the orcs after they heard of the neglecting human king.

So these are my ideas and lore for Broad-hall, city of rich pillars and carven patterns.
