Brookfield


Brookfield is a shopping mall that is located in area 9. The mall is a super-regional mall that opened in 1995 with anchors May Company, Younkers, and Sears. In 2001, May Company was converted to Marshall Field's. In 2006, Marshall Field's was converted to Macy's. In July 2018, Sears closed. In August 2018, Younkers closed due to The Bon-Ton going out of business. In Summer 2023, the mall announced a redevelopment, which will include demolishing the Younkers store, the Sears store, and the 3rd level of the mall to make way for the Gasket by Nash headquarters, which result some of the stores from that floor to relocate to different floors. Brookfield currently has 50 stores occupied and the mall does not have a food court.
