Liberty Mall

Liberty Mall is a shopping mall that is located in area 1. The mall opened in 1983 originally a 2 level indoor mall with anchors May Company, Younkers, and JCPenney. In 2001, May Company was converted to Marshall Field's, then converted to Macy's in 2006. JCPenney closed in 2008 and it became a Dillard's, which closed in 2017. Younkers closed in 2018 due to The Bon-Ton going out of business. In May 2021, Macy's closed and their space along with the mall and the Dillard's space has been demolished. In September 2021, the mall has been rebuilt as an outdoor mall with new anchors Von Maur, Redline Superstore, and area 1's only PAW Patrol Experience. It contains some of the same stores, plus 2 new stores. In March 2022, Dosemetic Brands has reused the Younkers space to put their brands in. Liberty Mall currently has 13 stores occupied and the mall does not have a food court.
