This is another stand-alone of the RP-World-Project from 1.3 Version.

Known as the "White City Hall", the building in the largest city in Egypt houses the conservative spiritual authoritarian power of the state - "The New Hierarchy" who de facto rules the central desert almost autonomously. In most cases, the building is also called simply after the "Priests’ Council" meeting in it.


Structural features:
The basic building form is based on the temple of Edfu, but no copy or replica - see here for this. The building consists of a courtyard, a basement, an upper floor and a wall with two towers. The only entrance to the building is a large portcullis, which can be opened and closed by using redstone technology. The switches to do this can be found in the left tower (from the view of the main building). The building consists mainly of quartz, stone and diorite, roofs and azulejos are built by prismarin.


History:
Originally, the building was an old dilapidated temple of Isis, which was actually abandoned before the Roman occupation. After the annexation, Roman missionaries restored the temple and used it as the main church for the Central Desert. The extremely religious and conservative population saw this as an affront and there were several riots. At its height, the Egyptian temples once again set up a pharaoh. The Roman proconsul attempted to defuse the dangerous situation and expropriated the temple and gave it back to the Egyptian priests, and he was also prepared to recognize the pharaoh as a supreme religious voice, but only if he changed the title’s name because the pharaoh contained a royal title which the proconsul could not tolerate. The priests accepted the proposal and the Pharaoh became the "Great Hierophant". After his death, the succession of the office was regulated by the priests. The highest priests (the simple hierophants) of the highest five gods (Isis, Horus, Osiris, Re and Seth) chose one of them as a Great Hierophant for life. The place as simple hierophant of one god needs to be given back to someone else, as the great Hierophant speaks for all the gods. Together they form the Council of Six. This meets at the beginning of every first Sunday of the month in the inner building. In addition, there is also the great council - also called "Council of 27" - which is formed from the high priests of the 21 upper gods and the small council. He manages the city of Camassda and sets the religious statutes. In contrast to the small council, the great council meets in the forecourt of the building in the open air. Entering the main building is prohibited for non members of the small council or their servants even under threat of death. The top floor serves the Great Hierophant as a personal quarters and workplace.

Das als „Weiße Rathaus“ bekannte Gebäude in der größten Stadt Ägyptens beherbergt die konservative geistliche Autoritäre Macht des Staates – „Die neue Hierarchie“ und regiert de-facto die Zentralwüste schon fast Autonom. Meistens wird das Gebäude auch einfach nach dem in ihm tagenden „Priesterrat“ genannt.

Bauliche Merkmale:
Die grundsätzliche Gebäudeform ist an den Tempel von Edfu angelehnt, jedoch keine Kopie oder Replik – dafür siehe hier. Das Gebäude besteht aus einem Innenhof, einem Untergeschoss, einem Obergeschoss und einer Mauer mit zwei Türmen. Der einzige Eingang zum Gebäude ist ein großes Fallgatter, welches mittels Redstonetechnik geöffnet und geschlossen werden kann. Die Schalter dafür findet man im linken Turm (aus Sicht des Hauptgebäudes). Das Gebäude besteht zum größten Teil aus Quartz, Standstein und Diorit, Dächer und Azulejos sind aus Prismarin.

Geschichte:
Ursprünglich war das Gebäude ein alter verfallener Tempel der Isis, welcher noch vor der römischen Okkupation faktisch verlassen war. Nach der Annexion restaurierten römische Missionare den Tempel und nutzt ihn als Hauptkirche für die Zentralwüste. Die extrem religiöse und konservative Bevölkerung verstand dies als einen Affront und es kam zu mehreren Aufständen. An dessen Höhepunkt setzten die ägyptischen Tempel wieder einen Pharao ein. Der römische Prokonsul versuchte die gefährliche Situation zu entschärfen und enteignete den Tempel und gab ihn zurück an die ägyptischen Priester und er war auch bereit den Pharao als eine oberste religiöse Stimme anzuerkennen, aber nur falls er den Titelnamen änderte, da im Pharao ein Königstitel enthalten ist, welcher der Prokonsul nicht tolerieren konnte. Die Priester akzeptieren den Vorschlag und aus dem Pharao wurde der „Groß Hierophant“. Nach seinem Tod wurde die Nachfolge des Amtes von den Priestern geregelt. Die höchsten Priester (die einfachen Hierophanten) der höchsten fünf Götter Isis, Horus, Osiris, Re und Seth wählten je einen von ihnen zum Groß Hierophanten auf Lebenszeit. Dabei musste der Platz als höchster Priester des jeweiligen Gottes zurück gegeben werden, da der groß Hierophant für alle Götter spricht. Zusammen bilden sie den Rat der Sechs. Dieser tagt zu Beginn jedes ersten Sonntages eines Monats im innerem Gebäude. Zusätzlich gibt es auch noch den großen Rat – auch als „Rat der 27“ – welcher aus den Hohepriestern der 21 oberen Götter und dem kleinen Rat gebildet wird. Dieser verwaltet die Stadt Camassda und setzt die religiösen Statuten fest. Im Gegensatz zum kleinen Rat tagt der große Rat im Vorhof des Gebäudes unter freiem Himmel. Das Betreten des Hauptgebäudes ist für nicht Mitglieder des kleinen Rates oder ihrer Bediensteten sogar unter Todesandrohung verboten. Das oberste Stockwerk dient dem groß Hierophanten als persönliches Quartier und Arbeitsplatz.
