There was likely a gate at this important location, connecting the city with the Monastery of the deposition of the Robe one of the most important monasteries in Suzdal which was also the only sacral building that survived the mongol invasion under Batu Khan in the 13th century.
No information is avaiable about it and its merely guessing. However on a model of the city it can be seen that a gate once stood at this location. The city walls of medieval Suzdal were bult completely out of wood. And so the gate was likely too.
