My original Corn and Popcorn creation is back and completely recreated for 1.9 and above! Have you ever felt like you just needed more crops to grow in Minecraft? Or even a new customizable utility to use in your house?
With this One Command Block creation, you can add grow-able, two-block tall Corn crops and Popcorn to your Minecraft world!

Corn and Popcorn | One Command | 1.10+ Minecraft Map
Main Features!
This One Command Block mods adds a whole new crop to your world: Corn! Corn, as it is in real life, is very versatile. There are corn seeds, corn cobs, and popcorn. Plant corn seeds to grow more corn that can be eaten, turned into more seeds, or turned into Popcorn!

-Corn seeds will drop from breaking tall grass.

-Plant corn by tossing on tilled soil.
-Corn grows in three stages: Seed, Plant, and Harvest
-Harvest corn cobs by right clicking the top of the corn cob with an empty hand.
-Corn stalks continually produce after harvesting.
-Corn cobs can be turned into corn seeds by tossing them onto a crafting table.
-Corn cobs can be eaten by holding in your hand (left or right) and looking directly up. (Fills 1.5 hunger)
-Tossing an iron block onto a cauldron turns the cauldron into a popcorn machine.
-Popcorn machines can be completely customized (The Glass, Carpet, Side Accessory Blocks, etc.)
-Toss corn cobs at a popcorn machine to start popping.
-Popcorn takes a few seconds to produce and a single popcorn machine can produce more than one bag of popcorn at once.
-Breaking the cauldron base of a popcorn machine gives back 3 iron ingots.
-Cows eat ready-to-harvest corn cobs off of the plant.
-Eat popcorn by holding in your hand (left or right) and looking directly up. (Fills 3 hunger)
-Corn Cobs, Corn Seeds, and Popcorn can all be placed and picked back up. (Like blocks)

-Corn growth can be automated. All I'm going to say, is that corn stalks drop corn seeds when broken, and if they have a cob on top, they also drop the cob. ;-) (Let me know in the comments if you build a functional automatic corn farm!)

As usual, my explanation might not be the best for everyone. There are many guides online and available on Youtube.

Is the machine either near you or in the spawn chunk? If so, are you breaking tall grass? (Not Grass Blocks or Double Tall Grass)

You're welcome! I had a feeling that that might be it. Do you think it would be more clear if I indicated in the description that tall grass isn't double tall grass?

Looks awesome! any tips on how to do stuff like this? I have a lot of trouble with setting items on top of blocks so i just settled for a "Crafting area" on the machine i made.

Thank you! And I would love to help, but could you clarify what you mean by "setting items on top of blocks"?
