Dubbed the "Lag Machine" by the players on my server (although it doesn't produce lag, we just expected it), this redstone and minecart monolith is built out of nothing but wires, AND gates, NOR gates, redstone torch upydo's (redstone torches carrying the current vertically) and a custom order-sensitive code lock (designed by my friend Anubis2971).
What you see is the first working prototype. This can hold 100 accounts. Each with their own PIN # and customized code. The code is order sensitive with varying amounts of digits. At this point I have proven it works using 3 minecarts and the design is ready for compression.
Built in the creative flat world on Swords and Sheaths (www.swordsandsheaths.com) bedrock is replaced with iron for better viewing. This got lava griefed once and I had to redo the whole of the left side. Not fun, little bit of rage involved.
This was built and works in SMP with a few bugs. Bugs:
I will answer questions and take advice.
If I forgot to add you in the credit then please tell me.
TODO:
This whole thing started just to prove that the right side could be done. Well, the right side is only 1/3 or less of the whole machine...

This was built and works in SMP with a few bugs. Bugs:
- you cannot have the same number twice in a row for the code lock, Status: Permanent Bug.
- sometimes redstone is always on. Status: Vanilla minecraft glitch, hoping for fixes in 1.3
- people are derps and don't read the simple way to operate the machine. Status: some people will always be dumb.

TODO:
- compact the design
- make 3 wrong codes in a row drop you to your death (maybe)
- make the codes easier to program
- hide this thing somewhere (in a mountain?) or put usable space inside the empty areas (Hotel in a bank)
- make the minecart come to you faster (I have ideas on how to do this)
- make more retrieval stations connected to one system (I may need help for this, I only have a few bulky and primitive ideas)
- finish version 1.0 so I can upload the map and schematics
Additional Notes
"I told you so sneaky"This whole thing started just to prove that the right side could be done. Well, the right side is only 1/3 or less of the whole machine...

If I got rid of the PIN #'s I could fit over 200 codes in the space I currently use, or just half the height of it all :P
I'll release a single unit and your 10 unit with the 1.0 release.
As I said it needs to be minimized. But my good friend blazednlovinit is helping me with the TODO: making it easier to program. For that we're currently tinkering with ways to use his (numerous) RAM devices which make sense to me, but at the same time are baffling because I don't see a use for them although there are plenty.
