Actually, it's as easy as going out and scanning manually but I must say that it took a while to get it because it was such a large area. Since they were around 35 map pieces it was also confusing and had to be very well organized and when we put the map unto the item frames we had to right click them to rotate them so it definitely was a big task getting everything to look as neat as it does there. You do have to scan the whole area so that each individual map is fully complete though. I hope that helped!
