I've always enjoyed making an Airship in Minecraft but it was always balloons. After looking through a few ships I got some inspiration. I'm not entirely proud of it, it's rather strangely shaped, but satisfied. Didn't take long, just a few hours. So yeah, here it is.

UPDATE: Made slight changes to it. The side wings are no longer completely straight at the end, steering wheel added, back-tail added. Thanks to Khanaris for the tips.

Balloons are easier because people start off with a vague idea of how they work. You don't have to try very hard to sell the design as a flying machine.

It would help to see a few more pictures, but this looks like an interesting design. It actually looks a little like an insect or a hummingbird to me. If you are worried about the overall shape, I would suggest adding some sort of "tail" so that the wings look like they are the rough center of balance.

Nice work, though! It is a good initial foray outside of skins.

Great to have some feedback, especially from the person who inspired me to start building airships in the first place.

I've added some more screenshots, and a tail. It's more the room inside the ship that annoys me. I realise the room in ships isn't supposed to be big but it's just that I've made it a really awkward shape to work with. I was wondering how you did your ships? Like, how you start off, do you plan it out, that kind of thing. Once again, thanks for the feedback.

I make pretty heavy use of wooden stairs and wooden slabs to make walls curve in at the base. This has the immediate effect of making the room feel less like a house and more like a ship. I generally start long and thin, so I have an easier shape to start off with than you do here.

Because you are working with a space that is pretty wide, I might use part of the center to build some sort of island. I am thinking of the sort of bridge you see in classic submarine movies. Just something to break the space up a bit.

The tail does help. The design looks strange, but in a good way. Less like an ocean-going ship converted into an airship and more like something that was designed to fly from the beginning.
