I've made an tutorial house, and explain how this is possible. I hope you guys like it.

There are no mods required. It is not Multiplayer supported, Singleplayer only.

What is does?
Whenever you look at the piston block, the redstone will turn on.

The file is 89KB,

Needs to be placed into you're 'saves' folder.
(Users/Name/AppData/Roaming/.minecraft/saves)

Explaination:
I've made an redstone indicator to toggle the redstone on/and off all the time. This is causing the piston to move all the time. Ontop of te piston i've shot an arrow. That arrow get's pushed into an pressure plate.
If you place an extended piston anywhere, and you look at it, the pressure plate will toggle. Why? I dont know. It might be a bug. Or you can call it magic.

You will need to have WinRAR to unzip the .rar folder.

This project is tested, and approved on Minecraft 1.2.5, Minecraft 1.3.1 and on Minecraft 1.3.2.
Note that the next snapshots of 1.4 (1.3.3) are not tested yet, till the full version will come out.
